Writers of Science
Fiction and Fantasy (WOSAF) is a small but growing community of writers.
The founding members met at A. C. Crispin's writing workshop, held
annually at Dragon*Con. In 2005 our forum was opened to all writers. It's a great place to keep in touch with other writers online.
RWA®
Romance Writers of
America®
is one of the few professional writing organizations that does
not require publication before joining. I've been a member since 2004
and gained RWA®
PRO status in 2005. This wonderful organization has provided
encouragement, support, and opportunities I wouldn't have had without
it. I strongly recommend it for any writer who incorporates romantic
elements in their fiction. Because I live hours away from any local
chapters, I belong to the two closest chapters and an online specialty
chapter. Each has given me something invaluable–friends who understand.
